We launched a podcast. But not for the sake of it. We did it for people like you – who want helpful marketing advice, but don’t always have time to read.
Because Small Business Owners Are Busy (Really Busy)
You’re running the show. Maybe solo, maybe with a small team. But either way, you’re spinning plates – managing accounts, replying to messages, updating social media, serving customers… and maybe even cooking dinner between calls.
You care about your business. You want to learn, grow, and do things properly. But when you’re juggling work, family, clients, and everything else life throws at you, sitting down to read a long blog post can feel impossible.
We’ve felt that too, and we know many of our clients have.
So, we asked ourselves: how can we make learning about marketing easier for small business owners?
Our blog is packed with practical marketing advice, but not everyone has the time (or energy) to sit down and read a 2,000-word article. That’s why we created Bots and Brains – a podcast you can listen to while walking the dog, prepping dinner, commuting, driving, or squeezing in a quick gym session.
It’s the same useful advice, just delivered in a way that fits into your day. And if you happen to learn something new while chopping carrots or strolling through Greenwich Park – even better.
Because Not Everyone Learns the Same Way
There’s a popular framework called the VARK model, which identifies four main learning styles: Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic.
Visual learners prefer videos, diagrams, and charts to absorb information. Auditory learners prefer to listen to lectures or podcasts. Then there are the readers and writers; those who prefer to, you guessed it, read and write to absorb information. Finally, Kinesthetic learners just need to do things to get it to stick.
We produce blog posts to help the readers, webinars to help the visual learners, face to face training to help the kinesthetic people, who learn best by doing. We realised we had nothing to help auditory learners.
That’s why lots of our podcast topics will also exist on our blog, in our webinars, and can be delivered face to face as training sessions.
Real Content. AI Voices. Still Us.
Let’s talk about the tech.
The voices you hear on Bots and Brains aren’t live recordings. They’re AI-generated versions of our real voices.
Why?
Because recording each episode manually would take hours – between editing out background noise, retakes, and, yes, cats jumping on desks.
But the words? 100% human.
We research, write, and edit every script ourselves. The AI just narrates it. Think of it like an audiobook – read by a familiar voice but crafted entirely by real people.
But isn’t that a bit… inauthentic?
It’s something we’ve thought about a lot. But we believe using AI only becomes inauthentic if you pretend it’s something it’s not.
We’re upfront about what we’re doing. We’re not replacing ourselves. We’re just freeing up time to do more of what we love: helping small businesses grow.
The message, the ideas, the tone – that’s all us.
The delivery? Just a little tech helping us along.
Think of it like writing a letter. If you write it and someone else reads it, who does the content belong to? It’s still yours, right?
What to expect from the podcast
We’re keeping it simple. Each episode focuses on one key marketing topic – often the same ones we already cover in our blog.
You’ll get clear, practical advice delivered in a friendly voice. And we’ll keep evolving the show based on your feedback, so it stays useful and relevant to what you actually need.
We’re not here to be perfect. We’re not here to jump on a trend. We’re here to be helpful, in whatever format works best for you.
If this helps just one more small business owner learn something useful while they’re on the move, then it’s worth it.
